Whether you're a seasoned player or looking to reignite your passion for football, our 8v8 league offers a dynamic, safe, and socially engaging environment to enjoy the game at its fullest.

Join us for the 2025 Spring season of 8 man flag football in Royal Oak. The first 10 teams that register will secure their spot in the league. Here are some season details for your review: 

8 man flag football is played on a full-size football field under the lights during the evenings. This format includes both open hand and downfield blocking.

THE SEASON: The season will consist of a seven-game schedule with top teams advancing to a single elimination playoff. Games will begin April 24 and run through June 20. 

THE LOCATION: All games will be played at Worden Park located behind the Total Soccer building. 1319 Lexington Blvd, Royal Oak, MI 48073

NEW THE DAYS!: Games will be played on a variety of days to accommodate all of the sports needs of the community in Royal Oak. Game dates will be played on Friday evenings, except for opening day which will be played on a Thursday. A tentative schedule as of now, looks like the following:

THE TIMES: Game times will be offered at between 6pm - 11pm.

THE ROSTERS: Rosters may hold up to 16 players. 

THE INVESTMENT: The team entry is $750 + a 3.9% processing fee. Each team will pay $45 per game for official fees. 

THE ROSTERS & WAIVERS: Both team rosters and waivers will also be due before your first game. Each week, teams will be required to fill out weekly waivers. 

THE CHAMPIONS: League champions will receive Champion shirts, a team trophy, and 1/2 off your next session of play to defend your title. 

FREE AGENT REGISTRATION - DON'T HAVE A TEAM, NO PROBLEM!: Sign up to join one of our house teams. We will put together teams of 8 - 12 players who do not have a full team of their own. If you have a buddy or two, we can ensure you guys get placed on the same team. The house team registration fee is $85 per player. You will need to bring $3 - $5 per week to pay your share of official fees. Uniforms are not supplied. You will coordinate with your team matching tee shirts or uniforms.

THE REGISTRATION PROCESS: A $375 deposit is required to hold your spot. This payment must be made online at www.DetroitSportsClub.com The remainder of your balance will be due week one at the game field.
